The show- and marchingband MVB can be considered as the pride of the fleet. The members of “senior-orchestra” range in age from appr. 15 till 45 years old.

Unique

In contrast to a lot of wind orchestra’s the corps has a young spirit and image. The most important aspect of our organization and band is the perfect balance between performance and leisure.

Giving everything you’ve got when needed, full relaxing and having fun when the performances are done.
This combination makes the Show- and Marchingband MVB unique.

Formation

The corps exists of 45 young men and women who also spend a lot of spare time with eachother.
This unique combination has lead to numerous successes in the past:

• 9 golden medals and certificates at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade, the Netherland in 1989, 1993, 1997, 2001, 2005 en 2009
• Winner “The Open European Band Contest”, Midsomer Norton, UK in 2003
• Best Overall Band of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Dublin, Ierland, 2005
• De 10-day trip to the USA; Norfolk, Virginia and New York City in april 2008
• De 11-day trip to the USA: Chicago, Illinois and New York City in april 2010
• Numerous performance in the Nederland, Belgium, France, Germany, England, Italy and Switzerland.
